    André Fu Residence

    The Residence, André Fu

Claridge's Residence: An exquisite two-tier glasshouse with two beautifully appointed bedrooms.

Drawing on fluid, Deco-inspired details, acclaimed designer André Fu has crafted the definitive sky sanctuary in the heart of Mayfair. Step through the timber-panelled entryway and into a sense-awakening space of light and air. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap The Residence in panoramic views of London’s iconic skyline, while an expansive terrace and crescent-shaped hydrotherapy pool appear to hover above the horizon. Inside, André Fu’s clean, contemporary aesthetic is perfectly punctuated by nods to the hotel’s heritage. Hand-crafted mouldings, stained glass and antique brass details bring authentic depth to each considered space – from the dining room, complete with sculptural bar, through the open living area and up the ribbon-like spiral staircase, to the private guest bedroom.

      Claridge's Penthouse Suite

      The Penthouse: Damien Hirst

      Claridge's Penthouse Suite

The Penthouse: Unveiling a new level of luxury, this sky-skimming addition to London’s panorama spans the entire rooftop of Claridge’s. Glass-wrapped and studded with skylights, The Penthouse—a four-bedroom suite—is flooded with views of changing skies across Mayfair from sunrise to sunset. Written across The Penthouse is the creative language of Rémi Tessier, who perfected his craft in yacht design. Organic and pure, straight lines flow across the individual wings, both with their own identity – but together, forming an effortless sense of harmony. In each are rare and refined materials: ziricote, Lebanese cedar, green onyx fireplaces and the distinctive burl wood dining table that forms a statement-making centrepiece. Wrapped in London’s most iconic sights, the distinctive silhouettes of historical landmarks and modern monuments lie in every direction, and expansive Royal Parks are at your feet. Take in the 360° panorama from the central 'lake' created by sculptor Andrew Ewing, then step inside where every aspect of this ever-evolving space reflects the cityscape beyond.

          Rooftop Pool and Bar

          The Berkeley Rooftop Bar

The arrival of Berkeley Summertime sees the return of London’s coolest hotspot, The Berkeley Rooftop Bar, this year given a fiesta-inspired twist with tacos, tequila and a side of skyline views. As the sun begins to go down, take it up to our rooftop – past Chiara Perano’s blue-toned mural and out to sweeping panoramas across Hyde Park, Belgravia and beyond. Settle in at one of the poolside tables or stretch out on the statement striped loungers, and soak up the spirit of the season while taking in unrivalled views across the city. Mexican-inspired menus bring sun-drenched flavours to the fore. A trio of tacos comes topped with smoked salt marsh lamb and saffron aioli, barbeque jack fruit, coconut and coriander cream, and a gently spiced Dover Sole. Meanwhile, tequila cocktails put a Patrón-inspired spin on classic pours – from the tropical Tequila Colada to the refreshing Hyde Park Spritz, made for summer sipping and rooftop reunions with friends.

              The Connaught Red Room

              The Connaught Red Room

The Red Room is nestled within The Connaught – a hideaway that guests will only discover through a velvet-curtained doorway from the hotel’s Champagne Room. This cocooning space showcases a collection of creative works in red – that has been years in the making – by four female visionaries, from one of the most celebrated of our time to a young Vietnamese artist. Perfect for those seeking an upscale wine bar experience, the Red Room offers a sophisticated ambiance and an impressive wine selection. The striking interior is the work of Bryan O’Sullivan, whose soft-hued palette allows the art to sing. Follow the mosaic runway, hand-cut and laid by Italian craftsmen, to the dazzling pink onyx bar, or to admire the red-flecked marble fireplace, where ‘I Am Rouge’ by Louise Bourgeois presides. Bourgeois’ centrepiece is joined by works in crimson and scarlet from Jenny Holzer, Ti-a Thuy Nguyen and a single photographic piece by Trina McKillen. Flanking the fireplace are two striking, vast glass panels in vivid reds and blues by celebrated British artist Brian Clarke – the only male exhibited in the Red Room. This one-of-a-kind edit forms the perfect canvas for a gallery of renowned wines by the glass. Rare vintages and first growths arrive by custom-crafted marble trolley – accompanied by a capsule collection of six cocktails, each inspired by the wine selection and developed in tune with the changing seasons. The menu of charcuterie, veal carpaccio and kale tempura, amongst other imaginative plates, complements the extensive wine list.
